The new headquarters for San Francisco-based Pinterest are designed with the possibility of adding a tower in the future. This means that the building must be strong enough to support the possible tower, even though the podium is will be built by itself first. The proposed expansion will add 165ftto the podium. The podium portion of the building is fully approved, and won’t face any challenges from Proposition M, the city’s office building cap on new office space. The site is located next to one of the new stop of Central subway, and down the street from the city’s main Caltrans station.
